Previous Business Owner Experience
In a previous life, Bev owned and operated an SME computer business providing new and refurbished PC’s to businesses and the general public; with one of her sites located within the Atrium of the University of Derby.
The business built custom PC’s and refurbished ex corporate PC’s to sell to businesses, schools and the general public; the University campus site also provided Network services for the students residing in Halls of Residence and worked closely with the University Communications and IT Departments to develop and trial the first wi-fi services within the University campus.
Due to changes in her business model making trading difficult, Bev closed the businesses and accepted an employed Business IT Consultant role with a large East Midlands based Accounting & Business Advisory practice which helped her gain product sales and implementation accreditation for a number of software packages these included Iris Exchequer®, Sage® CRM, Gold-Vision® CRM and a working knowledge of the Dynamics® NAV system; Bev is also a qualified Microsoft Office® Master Instructor.
After 8 years of being employed, Bev decided to return to building her own business again, specialising in services for web based CRM systems including: Gold-Vision®, webCRM®, Zoho®, BlueCameroo® and e-marketing systems and has also honed her design skills and is now a competent user of the Adobe® Creative Suite ie., InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, Muse and WordPress® systems.
