Based in Derbyshire, in the East Midlands region, Bev Webster is at the helm of ZigZag-IT; she has gained many useful business IT skills from her professional career within the IT sector.
Previous Business Owner Experience
In the 1980’s, Bev owned and operated an SME company in the Derby area called PC X-Change Ltd.
She had found a niche market in refurbished 2nd user PC’s and bespoke PC’s; the business became really popular with local businesses, schools, and students.
This popularity encouraged PCX to open a student shop in the Atrium of the University of Derby; this site built and sold quality student PC’s, and provided network services for the students residing in halls.
After closing PCX in 2003, Bev joined Cooper Parry (Accounting & Business Advisory), as a Business IT Consultant
Bev qualified as a Microsoft Office® Master Instructor, and attended product training to become an Accredited Consultant for a major Accounting system and a number of CRM systems.
These systems included Iris Exchequer® a modular Accounting system, SageCRM® and Gold-Vision® CRM.
In 2012, Bev returned to building her own business as a freelancer.
With business systems being offered as an ‘online service’, there are now requirements for professionals to implement.
Growing businesses may not have the time to set the systems up themselves; others may not have the skill-sets to implement, which is where we can assist!
We can help with:
- WordPress® website builds and content management
- e-marketing and associated services
- assistance with social media
- anything CRM!
- Xero Accounts software
Bev continues to hone her system knowledge and has also added WordPress® and Adobe® Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoShop) to her skill-set.
Using freelance services provides clients with a whole new set of skills … or an extra pair of competent hands, without having to fully employ!
